Precision for the Passion Workshop & engineering office

Engine rebuilding, tuning
and engineering

Technical workshop and mechanical engineering office in the Yvelines, for historic cars, motorsport and engines with character. From the first measurement to the test bench, one workshop follows your engine.

Passion as the starting point

The engines and cars we care about are rarely ordinary. They have a history, a personality, and often a particular reason to exist.

At Waynholl, that passion drives us to give every detail the same attention we would demand for our own engines.

So every project begins with a precise understanding of the need, the objectives and the constraints of whoever entrusts it to us.

Understand the mechanics. Respect the machine. Attend to every detail.

i

Understand the mechanics

Read an engine before opening it — its history, its dimensions, its weak points.

ii

Respect the machine

Preserve what gives it character; replace only what genuinely must be replaced.

iii

Attend to every detail

The standard we hold for our own engines, applied without exception.

Understand, to answer better

A mechanical project is not a list of operations. It answers a use, objectives and constraints that belong to it alone.

Our role is first to understand those needs, then define a technical answer that fits — seeking the best balance between quality, cost and lead time.

Our expertise then lets us step in at the level the project actually calls for: from study and development through to technical delivery, or simply on one specific operation.

Not simply deliver. Understand, propose, then deliver.

The balance we look for Defined with you, before any work begins

Quality

Dimensions measured and recorded, not estimated. Every value written down.

Cost

The right level of intervention for the project — no more, and never less.

Lead time

A stated schedule, and the reasons whenever it has to move.

One technical partner, end to end

From study to delivery, Waynholl brings complementary expertise together in one structure, organised around two divisions — Engineering & Development, and Technical.

01 Technical division

Machining, grinding, balancing and welding — the workshop's own machines, and a written record at each pass.

02 Engineering & Development

Study, drawing and development — before a single chip is cut.

Projects made to measure

Particular attention to detail, to meet the specific needs of each project — whether it comes from a private owner or a professional.

Complete rebuild

The engine arrived seized, a valve stuck in its guide after years standing still. The owner wanted to use it for long journeys, so we chose a full top- and bottom-end restoration with electronic ignition fitted. Private owner · Road use
Cylinder head fitted with new guides and seats Naturally aspirated and turbo engines — Porsche heads

Valve guides and seats replaced

Full head overhaul after identifying the worn parts to replace. Some seats could be kept where wear had not gone too deep. The heads were assembled with a new set of guides and new valves. Professional · Head overhaul
Blue coupé in the paddock, engine cover open R8 Gordini head — René Bonnet Djet coupé

Casting crack welded, guides and seats replaced

This head was new, yet carried a casting crack. We closed it by welding, then fitted the head with its valve guides and seats. Repair · Rare part saved
